With classic Thai architecture, Baan Som is a sight to behold, perched on a tropical hillside on Koh Lanta. LOCATION
In the south of Koh Lanta is Ba Kantiang Bay. On a quiet hillside here you will find Baan Som. Its only 600 m walk to the famous Ba Kantiang beach (or 2 minutes in the free beach shuttle provided by the management). Down in the bay youll also find enough restaurants, bars and other facilities to cater to your every need.If youre a nature lover you may want to head south to the end of the island and visit the Mu Koh Lanta National Park area with its beautiful rainforest and viewpoints. Closer to Baan Som (around 3 km) is Koh Lantas waterfall with nature trail, caves and elephant trekking all available. If you need to rent a scooter, car or anything else, contact the friendly reception staff who will organize anything you need from booking day tours or onward tickets to ordering and delivering take away food to your door.
VACATION VILLA ACCOMMODATION
Bedrooms
There are two bedrooms, both with chic decor. Each bedroom has a queen size double bed which is nicely positioned to allow guests to take in the ocean views whilst reclining in comfort. Air-conditioning units are present in both rooms but guests may find that actually the cool sea breeze that often reaches the bedrooms means that merely opening a window will suffice to keep the temperature pleasant.
Bathrooms
Both bathrooms are en-suite and clean-cut in style. A special feature is that each bathroom has an open wall which allows guests to get a great view of the ocean whilst washing.
Dining Room
The property has a spacious 78sqm outdoor terrace on which guests can dine in style. With views looking out over the bay onto the sea, eating a meal here is an absolute joy. The terrace has a large 8 seat dining table allowing guests to invite friends round to enjoy the evening sunsets.
Kitchen
The well-equipped kitchen makes a great place to prepare food. Guests will find everything they need as the kitchen comes with oven, gas hob, fridge freezer, microwave, dishware and a huge range of kitchen utensils. The kitchen has great views of the sea and garden so preparing a meal in this room is a real pleasure.
Living Rooms
The lounge has a great range of entertainment facilities. On hand are a large flat screen TV, DVD player and also a stereo system. The TV has over 50 international satellite channels and also is connected to the internet which allows guests to surf the web on a big screen. All this entertainment can be enjoyed from the comfort of the large sofa. The living room can be used as a space to sleep two extra people, allowing the villa to sleep up to six people.
