Travel to Vietnam
Airports. The Noi Ban International Airport is 34km (20 miles) north of Hanoi. Tan son Nhat Airport is close to Ho Chi Minh City (formerly known as Saigon). Buses are available to take you to and from the city and taxis to your holiday rental in Vietnam.

Weather in Vietnam
Vietnam has a tropical climate in the South and a subtropical climate in the North. North Vietnam temperatures range from 22°C (72°F) with hotter humid summers that include monsoon rains. South Vietnam reaches 30°C (87°F) in summer months with a slightly shorter monsoon period.

North of Vietnam experiences two distinct seasons: wet or dry. However, South Vietnam including Ho Chi Minh City and the Mekong Delta, enjoy sunshine and warm weather all year round with a  rainy or showery season lasting from May to November and a dry season from December to April.

Holidays in Vietnam
The Tet Holiday or Vietnamese New Year falls between late January and February and is the most important holiday of the year for Vietnamese people who take time off to spend time with their families. So hotels, trains and flights will probably be full and many amenities will be closed or understaffed a week before and a week after the Tet holiday.
