DESCRIPTION
|
Domaine Le Ruble is a small 19th century Chateau, with an elegant courtyard bordered by an L shaped converted coach house.
The accommodation is divived into 4 parts. The chateau is divided to offer a 6 bedroomed half, and a 4 bedroomed part. The coachhouse is split into 2 gites or appartments, each housing 3 bedrooms. Any of the 4 parts can be rented out individually for smaller groups, or larger groups can rent out the whole site. The whole site can accommodate up to 32 people in 16 bedrooms with 12 bathrooms. There are special prices for couples outside peak season. Exclusivity is also possible.
La Chapelle and La Tour each occupy half of this delightful chateau in separate accommodation. There are also two cottages, L'Ecurie and La Caleche in the converted coach house.
Le Ruble is 5 minutes away from the small bastide market town of Beaumont de Lomange which has all the facilities for everyday living. It has a splendid covered marketplace, and is also famous as the birthplace of the social reformer and celebrated mathematician Pierre de Fermat, whose last theorem foxed people for 300 years until it was proven a few years ago.
On the edge of Beaumont is a lake offering a lovely circular walk.
Within 20 minutes there is the "Canal des Deux Mers" at Montech with its extraordinary "pente d'eau" for raising boats up the canal.
In the area there are many colourful small towns abounding with history, each with its own market to visit. Montauban is 30 minutes away and Blagnac airport at Toulouse is 45 minutes away. The Gorge d'Aveyron is about an hour's drive with its fortified bastide villages - Cordes, Penne, Bruniquel etc.
