The villa was originally built in the 1950’s for US Ambassador Scotten and constructed entirely of coral stone in the grand Palladian manner (14ft ceilings in the living room). Nelson Gay retains the charm of a bygone era with many original features including the floors, designed by Oliver Messel. The interiors feature tasteful, traditional pieces.
