Our property is in a little village on Pisa's hills.It is a thriving agricultural centre specialising in the production of grapes,quality wines and olive oil.It is on the "wine road "of Hills of Pisa and it is surrounded by very nice villages which could be destination for a daily trip.It is well located for trip to the famous Tuscan cities:we are at 20 Km from Pisa and Livorno;Florence is at 1 hour's drive,but you can go there also by train ,leaving from Pontedera ,at 15 min.from the property;at 40 minutes' drive from here there is Lucca, a wonderful town .Then there are Siena and San Gimignano,at 1 hour and half's drive and Volterra,at 1 hour's drive,which are beautiful mediaeval cities.Despite its dimension,the village has all the amenities:many little shops,the chemist's,3 coffee bars,an ice-cream shop ,one restaurant which serves typical Tuscan dishes,one pizzeria ,one tobacconist's,a newsagent,a post office,2 banks.In the surroundings there are many other nice restaurants and pizzerias.Near the property there are 2 riding grounds.Those who like to be more physically active,can make excursions in the lovely surrounding of Fauglia by foot,by bike or on horseback.Water sports can be practiced at the beach reachable in a 20 minutes' drive, where there are also several tennis courts and 2 golf courses.LA CHIOCCIOLA is an apartment on the second floor of an old typical Tuscan house in the country. The access is through a spiralstaircase that leads to a big sunny terrace,equipped with umbrella,tables,chairs, sunchairs and a barbecue.Three steps connect the terrace to a wide and bright kitchen (with a sofa bed for 2 ).A corridor separates the kitchen from two bathrooms and two bedrooms. The furnishing is tasteful and comfortable.Old terracotta floors,traditional archways as well as the beautiful Italian marble in the bathrooms convey an authentic Tuscan ambiente. The apartment can receive from two to six persons comfortably.Italian lessons given on request.
