Beautifully appointed in white pine, this apartment is bright, cheerful and inviting. The eat-in kitchen with its corner bench and pine wood beams is a very cozy spot. A balcony, accessible from the master bedroom and the living room, overlooks the broad valley of Giswil and the alpine foothills in the west. Entrance to the apartment is from the second floor level of the house, requiring just two short flights of inside stairs. Heat (when needed) is supplied by a self-adjusted storage heating system.

Stores, restaurants, bank, tennis courts and the train station are all within a ten minute walk, which except for the last 50 yards uphill, is flat and easy.

Giswil, which is relatively untouched by tourism, offers a large supermarket, bakery, butcher, bank/ATM and some nice restaurants. The bustling cultural center of Luzern is just 36 rail minutes to the north. The famed Brunig Pass, gateway to the high Alps of the Bernese Oberland where beautiful scenery and excellent hiking can be enjoyed, is 30 rail minutes to the south. Rail service is excellent, operating at least hourly in each direction, making Giswil a perfect base for day trips throughout Switzerland.
