Surrounding Description
This is a very rural setting, in the middle of the Cotenin Peninsula of Normandy. You are on a farm, and the nearest hamlet is a kilometer away. But the setting, in a restored stone farm building, just across the drive from your friendly hosts, surrounded by fields and horses is lovely.
Nearby Attractions Description
Your nearest larger town (with good shopping facilities) is Periers, about 15 kilometers away. Also not too far away is the small city of St. Lo. You are equidistant – between 1-2 hours – from the WWII beaches and the famed Le Mont St. Michel. This makes you ideally situated if you want to do BOTH. This property is superb for country lovers, but its country location means you will be driving a little longer to some of the eastern sites in Normandy. If you plan on making the main center of your trip the WWII beaches, choose a property more closely located there. If you love country drives and want to see a bit of Brittany as well, you couldn't find a better spot.
