The third bedroom has a set of metal framed duo bunks - double on the bottom and single on top, bedside table, lamp and. alarm clock, built in wardrobe and a small bookcase. The open plan lounge/ dining area has 2 window seats, rugs on the floors and quality artwork on the walls. In the lounge area there is a television, DVD player and a stereo. There is a 3 seater and a 2 seater couch and two armchairs, foot stool and ottoman, coffee table, bookcase and a gas heater. The dining area has a wrought iron frame/wood top rectangle and six wrought iron, fabric covered chairs, a high chair, a dresser, a 2 seater wooden futon couch (which may be pulled out to a double bed) and another small sitting area consisting of 4 cane chairs with cushions and a coffee table.

The house is located close to Kennedy Park with a 10 minute walk to either the harbor or surf beaches.

There are also many well planned reserves and access walkways to the beach, it is flat and fun for young cyclists. Very social atmosphere during the summer and a popular choices for families. There is a boat ramp onto the Whangapoua harbor and an air landing strip. A significant feature of Matarangi is the picturesque 18 hole golf course, club house with bar and restaurant.
