The apartment is on the second floor of the three family house in an open part of Meiringen on the edge of farmland. From many directions, the fabled Reichenbach Falls can be seen plunging from the high, snow capped Wetterhorn Range of Alps to the valley floor. The famed Aare River flows close to the chalet.
The apartment is spacious and furnished in a comfortable, modern style. The bright living room includes satellite TV, DVD, radio, parquet floors, as well as a wood-burning fireplace. You will delight in the chalet’s many high-end amenities, such as chef’s kitchen with a four burner flat-top stove with oven, refrigerator/freezer, microwave, dishwasher, and even granite countertops. Washer and dryer are available for guest use at no charge. Breakfast, coffee or a great book can be enjoyed in a number of different spots such as at the bistro-style table in the kitchen, in the outdoor communal garden, under the large enclosed porch, and in a beautiful veranda whose panoramic windows lend the chalet its name. There is also a separate dining room with seating for six and fine marble flooring. A special treat is an oversized corner tub in the bathroom, ideal for a relaxing steam bath after a long day of sightseeing. The bathroom also has a separate stand-up shower. The two bedrooms are stylishly decorated and feature parquet floors.
Its quiet residential location seems isolated, yet it is only a ten minute walk to the excellent train and bus transport. Also nearby are main shopping street, lined with shops, churches, fine restaurants, entertainment, cafes, bakeries, historic sites and parks of Meiringen.
